Introverts, here are a few tips for you when going live on Facebook or any social media site:
1. Make sure you're well-prepared before going live.
This will help ease any anxiety you may feel. Introverts love to be prepared. Grab one of the lists of things to talk about and write yourself a few bullet points in advance
2. Choose a topic that you're interested in and knowledgeable about.
This will help keep you engaged and make the broadcast more enjoyable for viewers. Especially at first, don't try to wing it. it will make it more challenging for you
3. Keep your broadcast short and sweet.
No one wants to watch a long, rambling live video. Especially the first ones where you are finding your feet. Even a minute or two will help with your confidence.
4. Interact with viewers by answering their questions and comments.
This will help create a more engaging experience for everyone involved. Though you may not get many 'live' viewers at the beginning. And that's ok. You can just talk and leave when you are done.
5. Take breaks as needed.
If you start to feel overwhelmed, take a few minutes to yourself before resuming the broadcast. Make sure you are aware of where the pause, and stop buttons are. If it all goes wrong you can delete the video.
6. My final tip is not to watch the video's back.
There is no need, you'll not like the sound of your voice, and pick apart what you said. Just don't bother.
By following these tips, you can make going live on social media a more enjoyable and less daunting experience. So go out there and give it a try!
